What is QNT?
QNT is the native token of Quant Network, the project behind Overledger — an enterprise-grade interoperability platform that connects different blockchains. QNT is used to pay licence and gas fees for accessing Overledger.
What is the maximum supply of QNT?
Quant has a hard-capped maximum supply of 14,612,493 QNT. The cap is fixed in the token contract and no new QNT can ever be minted, which makes the supply more scarce than most cryptocurrencies.
How is the QNT price updated on this site?

Why does QNT have a small max supply compared to other cryptocurrencies?
Quant deliberately chose a small cap (under 15 million tokens) to align with its enterprise positioning: licences for Overledger are denominated in QNT and locked for the licence period, which removes tokens from circulation. A small cap amplifies this scarcity effect.
